Transvestite busted after “best of both worlds” posting

A transvestite was arrested on prostitution charges after posting an ad for sexual services on Cragslist.com and then trying to seal the deal with an undercover detective, according to officials with the Punta Gorda Police Department.

On Thursday, October 15, the undercover detective was looking in the Adult Services Section of Craigslist – a site officials say is commonly used to advertise prostitution.

The subject line of the posting stated, “The Best of Both worlds.”

“Anytime that we see anyone who is advertising in our city, we will contact them and see if it can further be developed,” said Troy Bettencourt of the Punta Gorda Police Department.

When detectives called the number given in the ad, the person that answered the phone identified himself as “Lori” and said that he was the person who posted the ad Craigslist.

Detectives say while on the phone, the suspect described himself as clean, honest and that the price would be $80 for “everything” -prostitution terminology for sex, according to officials with the sheriff’s office.

Reports also state that he described himself as a great lover and told the caller that he would be pampered and would not leave disappointed.

Detectives say during the phone call, it was very clear that he was offering to have sex for money.

Two women, one man dressed as a woman, arrested in prostitution sting

Two women, and one man dressed as a woman were arrested in Battle Creek Thursday morning during a prostitution sting.

Battle Creek Police say they were working a prostitution sting in the Verona neighborhood around 6:00 am Thursday morning when the arrests were made.

All three suspects have been charged with solicitation for purposes of prostitution.

Police say all three suspects are repeat offenders, and are currently lodged at the Calhoun County Jail.

CRIME REPORT: Fight between prostitute and customer brings charges for both

A fight between a suspected prostitute and his customer Sunday night led to a minor car wreck and charges for both men.

According to a police affidavit, a man in a truck stopped and picked up another man, who was dressed as a woman, at Third and Biscayne.

After a brief negotiation, they drove to a bank ATM at Third and Mitchell so the customer could get $50.

But the prostitute told police he became suspicious that his customer might be a police officer, so he tried to get out.

He told officers the man wouldn’t let him out, so he punched the accelerator, and the truck slammed into a car parked at the Crystal Palace skating rink.

The driver told police only that they had been arguing.

Nobody was injured.
