Man’s killers ‘used prostitution lure’

A BUSINESSMAN was murdered after he visited a known red-light district and left there with a female companion, a court heard yesterday.
Alan Bennett, 56, was on a night out with work colleagues before he headed to the streets of Aberdeen’s harbour, an area that is frequented by prostitutes.
Almost three hours later, a reveller in a different part of the city centre found Mr Bennett’s body. He had been stabbed to death.
Paul Balgowan and Julie Carroll, both 25, are accused of luring him to his death by promising him sex.
On the first day of their trial at the High Court in Aberdeen the jury was shown CCTV footage of Mr Bennett at Regent Quay on the night he died.
Detective Constable Andrew Barclay of Grampian Police told the court: “Regent Quay is known as a red-light district. Further along is a former Grampian Police tolerance zone for prostitution, and prostitutes meet in that area.”
The footage showed Mr Bennett heading to the harbour at at about 1:35am on 30 May last year and leaving with a woman thought to be Carroll.
Following just 30 seconds behind them were two figures, one of which was said to be Carroll’s partner, Balgowan. It is not clear if Mr Bennett knew he was being followed, but DC Barclay said Carroll kept looking back over her shoulder.
The pair are accused of persuading the victim to go with Carroll, then pulling a knife on him.
It is claimed he was forced to hand over his wallet and then repeatedly punched and stabbed in the head and body.

Woman guilty of murder, robbery Prostitute agrees to testify against pimp
A 20-year-old prostitute pleaded guilty Thursday to murder and robbery in connection with the slaying of one of her frequent customers two years ago, according to District Court records.
As part of the agreement, the woman will cooperate with investigators and testify against her boyfriend and pimp and his friend in connection with the March 2008 shooting death of the woman’s 62-year-old client.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against the pimp in connection with the shooting, court records said.
The client’s body was found bound and gagged in his Cadillac Escalade on March 19 in the Southern Highlands neighborhood. He had bullet holes in his leg and his head.
The man was attracted to young black female prostitutes and had taken the woman out to dinner and to his house on several occasions, investigators said.
Authorities said that on March 16, 2008, the woman lured the man to her apartment, where her two co-conspirators were waiting to rob him.
They beat him up, bound and gagged him and left him in a closet, bleeding heavily, the woman told Las Vegas police.
She then went to the client’s east Las Vegas house and took a handgun from his safe. He had given her the safe combination, police said.
The crew carried the client to his Escalade and drove to Southern Highlands. Once there, the pimp shot the client multiple times, police said.
A 21-year-old suspect has been arrested after being found in bed and covered in blood next to a prostitute he allegedly stabbed dead in Minhang District, prosecutors said yesterday.
A former restaurant worker who became depressed after gambling away his life savings of 30,000 yuan (US$4,392), prosecutors said.
He confessed that he had killed the prostitute with a fruit knife on August 17. “I wanted to commit suicide but didn’t want to be lonely, so found someone to die with me,” he told prosecutors.
With the last of his money, he bought a knife in a supermarket and had a last supper in a small restaurant in Qibao area, prosecutors said.
He went into an unnamed salon about 10pm and chose a young prostitute at random.
“I didn’t intend to have sex with her. I just wanted to die with her,” he said.

Prostitute murder accused may be named
A District Court judge will decide this afternoon whether to lift name suppression for an Auckland man charged with murdering a Thai sex worker.
The 47-year-old computer programmer is charged with the murder of 48-year-old Nuttidar Vaikaew, whose body was found at a house in Western Springs, west of the city centre, on May 12.
Police believe that Miss Vaikaew, known to her clients as “Sky”, was slain on April 17.
Name suppression was granted until today after his lawyer Nicholas Wintour argued the accused was at a high risk of committing suicide and that releasing his name would increase that risk.
But crown prosecutor Rachael Reed said today it appeared the man was no longer a suicide risk and that there was no reason for name suppression to continue.
A Hong Kong court has sentenced a Pakistani man to life imprisonment after convicting him of killing three sex workers in a case that sent fear through the city’s prostitute community.
Nadeem Razaq, 24, suffocated three women in as many days during March this year, leaving their bodies in the one-woman brothels in which they worked, police said.
After a seven member jury on Tuesday unanimously convicted Razaq of three counts of murder, Judge Clare-Marie Beeson told him: “You committed a wicked crime and deprived three women of their lives and family.”
Hong Kong’s high court had heard that the defendant initially told police he had strangled the prostitutes on the instructions of loan sharks in the gaming haven of Macau from whom he had borrowed money.
However, he later withdrew his confession and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
When the three women’s bodies were found, Razaq was traced to Macau, where police officers discovered mobile phones belonging to two of his victims.
The body of a fourth murdered prostitute was also discovered in March, but police found no link between Razaq and the killing.
The four cases prompted fears among the sex worker community in Hong Kong, one of the world’s safest international cities where murders and other violent crimes are rare.
Prostitute’s bite mark was sex play not death struggle, court told
A bite mark on the arm of a murdered Sydney prostitute that matches the dental records of a commercial diver might have been inflicted during intercourse, his lawyer says.
But prosecutors argue Rachael Campbell was bitten as the pair struggled over the knife that killed her, the NSW Supreme Court has been told.
The 29-year-old sex worker’s body was found with multiple stab wounds in the grounds of St Joseph’s Church at Rosebery on November 7, 1998.
Richard Edward Dorrough, 32, was extradicted from Perth to Sydney in January this year after DNA evidence linked him to the death.
Two used condoms, a vaginal swab, DNA on the sheet Ms Campbell’s body was wrapped in and teeth marks matching Dorrough’s dental records placed him at the scene.
As his bail application was heard in the NSW Supreme Court on Thursday, barrister Ertunc Ozen said his client had hired the prostitute for sex, but denies he had anything to do with her death.
“Obviously [the DNA] proves not only some contact with the deceased, but contact of a very specific nature – sexual contact,” Mr Ozen told the court.
“It would not of itself tend to suggest … that the applicant must have been the one to murder this woman.”
The bite mark on her arm – if it was proved to belong to Dorrough – could be explained by sex play, he said.
“There are a number of ways in which a bite mark could be occasioned which have nothing to do with getting a knife,” he said.

LI Motivational Speaker Murdered by Prostitute for Debit Card PIN

A married, motivational speaker murdered in Harlem this week went to a housing project to meet up with a prostitute, who turned on him and robbed him, according to written reports.
Jeff Locker was found in his parked, 2007 Dodge Magnum in East Harlem Thursday morning, hours after he was reportedly seen buying condoms. Locker, 52, had his hands tied behind his back and a cord wrapped around his neck, tied to the headrest. He had been stabbed in the chest and robbed, police sources said.
According to written reports, a prostitute whom he regularly visited and two of her friends tortured Locker for his bank-card PIN code. Police say his wallet — which contained a debit card and credit cards — was stolen.
Locker left his home in North Woodmere, Long Island, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday reportedly to play golf the following morning at La Quinta Inn in New Jersey. His wife reported him missing when he never came home.
Instead, police say he pulled off near the RFK/Triborough Bridge at the Robert F. Wagner housing project. Then, Locker made a call to an apartment in the building where the woman lived and received a call from the same number, according to written reports.
He called his wife around 10:15 p.m. to say he had a flat tire, but a couple had stopped to help him. Police are looking for them, though it did not appear the tire was damaged.
Locker was last seen 3 a.m. Thursday, when he bought Trojan condoms and a bottle of water from a local deli. Police sources say around 4:30 a.m., a man and a woman were seen using Locker’s ATM card to make seven, $200 withdrawals.
His body was found just before 11:30 a.m. Thursday in East Harlem. Medical examiners say he died from stab wounds to his major organs.
Police: Prostitute Fatally Stabbed John After Threat Neighbors Say Woman Came To Door Naked, Covered In Blood
A woman told police she fatally stabbed a man who picked her up for sex and then threatened to hurt her.
Officers were called to the address just after 5:30 p.m., said Sgt. Paul Thompson.
Neighbors said a 42-year-old woman ran out of the home naked and covered in blood, screaming for help.
Taylor told police that she had agreed to accompany a man to his home and engage in a sex act. But she said that he refused to pay and then threatened her with a knife.
She said she found another knife in the kitchen and stabbed him in self-defense.
Both were transported to Wishard Memorial Hospital, where the man was pronounced dead. The woman suffered knife wounds to her hands and arm, but was listed in stable condition.
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will decide if any charges will be filed in the case.

Police: Florida Dad Asked Son to Help Dispose of Murdered Prostitute’s Body

Suspect Alan Jett faces first degree murder charges. Police say he killed a woman, left her wrapped in blankets for days in his closet, then made his pre-teen son help him dump the body. Deputies say Jett’s son told a friend about the dumping of the body, and when investigators talked to the boy, they found out much more.
According to a recently filed arrest affidavit obtained by FOX 35, the boy said he was with his father one night when Jett picked up a prostitute, Lashanda Brand, from the Parramore area. He says they all went back to Jett’s apartment in the 7100 block of Forest City Road and the adults went into Jett’s bedroom.
A little while later, the boy heard his father and Brand arguing about money. A short time later, the boy asked Jett where Brand was and was told the woman was sleeping. The boy told investigators he saw her lying on the bed, and thought then that the woman was dead.
The boy looked again the next day, and says he found Brand’s body wrapped in blankets and duct tape in Jett’s bedroom closet. The boy says he didn’t say anything to his father and went to his summer-school classes. After school, the boy told Jett he knew the woman was dead, because he saw her body in the closet.
According to the affidavit, the next day, Jett told his son, “they need to get rid of the body,” because it was starting to decompose and stink. Detectives say Jett asked his son to help load the woman’s body into the back of his Chevrolet Tahoe.
They both got in the vehicle and dumped the body in a field. The boy led investigators to where they dumped the body. The boy took them to the same place off Forest City Road in Eatonville, where Brand’s body was found June 22. There is still no word yet on how the she died.

Alberto and Alejandro Jimenez, Mini Mexican Wrestlers, Found Dead
Alberto and Alejandro Jimenez, two Mexican wrestler brothers, known by the names La Parkita and Espectrito II, have been found dead in their hotel room in Mexico City.
The District Attorney’s Office said the mini wrestlers were victims of a drink spiked with chemicals that killed them. When the wrestlers entered their room they were in the company of two women, possibly prostitutes. They were found unharmed, but no personal belongings were found in the room, suggesting that they had been robbed.
Their drinks turned out to contain a mixture of alcohol and eyedrops, which is often used as a date rape formula.
The CHIKARA Pro Wrestling Organization made this statement on their website:
“For a few years, this Parkita lived in Kennett’s Square, PA. He rarely wrestled after a falling out with AAA over the rights to be the only Parkita (there have been several.) Based on conversations had with him after “Maximum Overdraft,” it is entirely possible that his final match was his sole CHIKARA appearance from August 5, 2007. When or why he returned to Mexico is not known to us at this time.
