Ventura Targets Massage Parlors Selling Sex

Ventura’s city attorney has proposed an emergency moratorium to prevent new massage businesses that might also be offering sex.

The temporary ban on massage therapists who haven’t attended accredited schools, would buy the city time to comply with new statewide rules and work with legitimate therapists to weed out parlors offering sex. The city council will consider the ban on Monday.
