Men busted in john sweep come back for seconds
70 people charged in Danforth crackdown

For two men, getting caught in a prostitution sweep wasn’t enough.

They had to come back for seconds.

The desperate johns were busted during a three-night weekend investigation by officers along Danforth Ave., between Woodbine and Victoria Park Aves., police said.

After soliciting one undercover cop for sex and getting nabbed, they later propositioned a second plainclothes officer, police say.

The men were among 70 people charged with communicating for the purpose of obtaining a prostitute after a sweep of the area.

Eight of the men charged are cab drivers who were on duty at the time, said Const. Wendy Drummond.

The weekend arrests were prompted by complaints from community members, police said.
