Report details raid at massage parlor
By Amy Leigh Womack

Macon police released new details today about one of the most recent busts at a city massage parlor.

A woman working at Softhands Massage, 1922B Riverside Drive, offered to perform oral sex for $60 and “everything” for $100 during an undercover police investigation two weeks ago, according to a Macon police report released today.

The woman, 35-year-old Ji Young Park of Doraville, was charged with masturbation for hire following the Aug. 13 bust, according to the report.
After being informed of her Miranda rights, Park told officers she paid the owner, 40-year-old Hyeon Joo Chae of Atlanta, $60 per day for room and board, according to the report.

Chae was charged with keeping a house of prostitution following the bust, according to the report.

She previously was arrested on the same charge after a June raid at the business.

An officer visited the business Aug. 12 and paid Chae $40 for a half-hour massage, after which Chae told the officer to come back later for an hour massage, according to the report.

“She said the more time, the better massage,” according to the officer’s report.

Later that night, another officer reportedly visited the business and was offered oral sex.

After the exchange of money occurred, the officer called for additional officers who assisted in arresting Chae and Park, according to the report.

Park told officers Chae had brought a customer, identified in the report as the officer, to her.

She said Chae “always talks to them to find out if they are law enforcement first” and the customer did not look like a police officer, according to the report.

Park said she asked the officer if he wanted a bath and he refused.

She then offered him “everything for $100″ and oral sex for $60, according to the report.

The woman said the two agreed on oral sex and left the room to get a condom from underneath the front counter.

During the interview, the officer noted that he saw an opened condom lying on the floor by a small white towel near the massage table.

While searching the business, officers found a plastic drawer full of lingerie in a back bedroom and a small empty lotion container that contained cash and envelopes filled with cash, according to the report.

Police have been investigating massage parlors in the city since June, identifying businesses they believe could be operating illegally as a front for prostitution and sending in undercover officers.

Since June, 28 arrests have been made at 11 massage parlors.
