Prostitution charges for ‘Hot Lap Dance Club’ owner
A lawyer who operated a New York City lap dance club has been indicted on charges of promoting prostitution and laundering money.
Prosecutors say 52-year-old Louis Posner ran the unlicensed Hot Lap Dance Club in Manhattan and made more than $726,000 there from January through June.
They say he split prostitution fees with some of the club’s dancers, who charged $20 and up for lap dances and up to $5,000 for sex.
Prosecutors say Posner was at the club nightly and sometimes had sex with the dancers.
Posner and his 57-year-old wife also are charged with falsifying business records. Prosecutors say Betty Posner helped hide cash generated by the club.
Both pleaded not guilty at their arraignments Thursday in state Supreme Court.
Talk to any of the customers or dancers from the Hot Lap Dance Club and you will hear the same thing – most of what has been reported by the press and the District Attorney’s Office is unadulterated BS.
The Hot Lap Dance Club was rated as the Number One Club in the world by AskMen, Strip Club List and The Ultimate Strip Club List. Membership was $20 and admission was $50 and you were lucky to get in at that price. The Club had an affluent clientele and the dancers made more money than any gentlemen’s club in Manhattan. Neither the dancers nor the club owner had to resort to prostitution to make good money.
Every one is jealous of the strip club owner and they think that he is having sex with the dancers. In reality, the owner of a top club is busy running the club, not having sex with the dancers.
