Police: Prostitute Binds, Robs Client Of $62K
A Lowell prostitute is accused of binding up her client and then robbing him of $62,000 over the weekend, Lowell police officials said Monday.

Jessica Garcia, 30, was arraigned on an unarmed robbery charge Monday after police say she tied a belt around a drunken 42-year-old man’s ankles, shoved him to the ground and then took his money.

According to the police report, the victim received the money from credit card advances. He reportedly stuffed the money in a duffle bag and went in search of prostitutes after spending a few hours drinking cognac with a friend.

The victim reported the robbery around 8:30 p.m.

Police said they later found Garcia in a Lowell hotel room with stacks of money that totaled more than $40,000.

Garcia was arraigned in Lowell District Court. Police are also trying to find out if the victim legally obtained the cash he stashed in his bag.
