Man reports wallet, credit cards gone after rendezvous with prostitute

An Okeechobee man told police that after utilizing a prostitute’s services, he noticed his wallet with about $600 in cash and credit cards missing, according to a police report released Thursday.

Although the 57-year-old victim didn’t actually see the prostitute take the brown wallet, he said she was the only other person in his hotel room in the 6600 block of Darter Court.

The victim described the woman, whom he hired about 10 p.m. Tuesday, as a usual prostitute of the area with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. He said she’s about 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds. He said the prostitute told him she lives somewhere off of U.S. 1, but said he has no way of contacting her.

The victim said he waited until Wednesday to report the matter, saying he was checking the room a second time.

The case was turned over to the department’s criminal investigation division.
