Police Bust Woman for Prostitution on Craigslist

A Pocatello woman is behind bars after undercover police officers busted her for prostitution at an Idaho Falls hotel.

The twenty-four-year-old woman was arrested for misdemeanor prostitution Thursday night after an undercover police officer met her at the Red Lion Hotel with the intent of having sex for money.

The officer says he had contacted her through the services page of Craigslist last week. She agreed to have sex with him for $150; what she called a ‘holiday special’.

When the officer arrived at the room and paid her, the woman was arrested for prostitution and booked at the Bonneville County Jail. The Idaho Falls Police Department say they frequently check Craigslist for these kinds of offers and tries to shut them down when they can.
